Nothing captures the magic of the holiday season quite like building your own gingerbread house. The warm aroma of gingerbread spices, colorful decorations and snowy icing make this one of our favorite festive traditions to share.

And this workshop is designed to be shared! Each booking is for one adult and one child up to 14 years of age, making it a wonderful two-person holiday experience and the perfect opportunity to spend a festive afternoon creating something together.

In this creative workshop, you’ll learn how to make everything from scratch—from perfectly spiced gingerbread dough and sturdy baking techniques to royal icing that holds everything beautifully together. Once your house is assembled, it’s time for the best part: decorating it entirely in your own style.

Whether you dream of a classic snowy cottage, a colourful candy house or something completely unique, we’ll provide all the guidance, inspiration and decorations you need to bring your creation to life.

No previous baking experience is needed—this workshop is perfect for families looking to enjoy a festive afternoon together and create a holiday tradition of their own.

Workshop bookings, changes and cancellations

These terms apply to workshop bookings made from 12 October 2026 after publication of this policy. Earlier bookings remain subject to the terms provided when booked. For private workshops, any different terms agreed in writing before booking take precedence.

We reserve a place and plan our preparation and teaching around your booking. If you need to cancel, the following refund schedule applies to the amount paid for each cancelled workshop place:

• At least 7 days (168 hours) before the workshop starts: 100% refund.
• Less than 7 days, but at least 72 hours before the workshop starts: 50% refund.
• Less than 72 hours before the workshop starts, or failure to attend: no refund.

Cancellation charges will not exceed a reasonable amount for our actual loss, taking account of costs saved and any replacement booking for the cancelled place. Where this is lower than the scheduled charge, we will reduce the charge accordingly. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

How to cancel

Email info@piecraft.nl with your order number and the places you wish to cancel. Notice is measured from when your email reaches us to the booked workshop start time, using Amsterdam local time. We will confirm receipt; a delay in our reply does not change your notice period. Eligible refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 14 days of cancellation.

Replacement participants and fewer participants

You may send another eligible participant in your place at no additional charge. Please email us their name and any dietary requirements beforehand. The cancellation schedule applies to each cancelled place if your group becomes smaller. A family ticket is treated as one booked place.

Changes to your booking

Requests to change the date, start time, workshop format or number of items made require our written agreement. Custom arrangements and different prices must be agreed before booking. If we agree to your request to make fewer items, shorten your participation or omit part of the booked experience, the booked price remains payable and no partial refund is due for that voluntary change. This does not affect your rights if PieCraft fails to provide the agreed service.

Date transfers are subject to availability and our written agreement. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, cancelling the original date is subject to the cancellation schedule above; submitting a transfer request does not suspend those deadlines.

If PieCraft cancels or reschedules

If we cancel your workshop or propose a different date, you may choose an available alternative date or a full refund of your workshop payment. We will not require you to accept credit instead of a refund.

Fixed-date leisure workshops

Our recreational workshops take place on a specific booked date and time and are not subject to the usual 14-day cooling-off right for online purchases. The cancellation options above apply, without limiting any other statutory consumer rights.
